This speculative house project is conceptualized as a house sitting on a green base. It is an enlargement of an existing bungalow on a narrow lot a few blocks from Jamaica Bay. The renovated, Virginia creeper covered ground floor is reconfigured as one continuous open space, with living room to the street, dining room in the center of the plan, and the kitchen to the rear yard. The kitchen opens completely to a large deck adjacent to the rear yard.
